Disabled cooking – easy menu plan

Menu Plan:
1. stir fry veg, and chicken and sauce sachet
2. soup in a bag?
3. pre-made falafel in pitta pockets with bagged salad
4. chicken tikka and tarka dal with rice and goats yog (or other microwaveable indian ready meal)
5. black pudding with ready shredded greens and new potatoes
6. feta omelette with stir fry veg
7. 2 griddled lamb chops with pack lentils and snow peas/asparagus
treats: marble cake, soya custard, fruit salad

Menu plan for cooking with a broken arm / with one arm

This menu plan is on the request of my sister who has broken her wrist and finds it really hard to cope with day to day tasks.  Well with one arm you can’t do very much cooking.  You can’t open tins. You can’t chop, you can’t knead, you can’t even scrub the pan afterwards. You can’t open plastic tubs.

1. Chicken adobo with rice and pre-cut veg

2. Rice and dal with baby leaf spinach

3. Pre-roasted chicken drumsticks and naan with trimmed French beans and yogurt

4. Fresh egg penne (take out of water with a slotted spoon) with oil, garlic paste, cherry tomatoes and Finest mozzarella balls

5. Pre-cut stir-fry veg with marinated tofu and egg noodles

6. Baked  potatoes with sugar snap peas, pancetta pieces and pre-cooked lentils

7. Black pudding slices with rice and baby corn
